"The LPAA Heads to Orlando"

Aphasia Breakfast - Thursday AM

This month, the LPAA will be on full display in Orlando during the 2019 ASHA Annual Convention. Here are two ways you can definitely connect with friends and colleagues, not to mention find out the latest from Aphasia Access and the LPAA. Robyn O’Halloran and Linda Worrall will present their new clinical resource on healthcare access and facilitate the traditional small group discussions

Aphasia Community Breakfast (Thursday morning from 7 to 8:30 am)
Hyatt Regency - Orlando (Next Door to the Convention Center - Florida Ballroom B)

The annual aphasia community breakfast has turned into what one attendee called a "true kickoff to ASHA." Each year, more and more colleagues and friends get together for a morning of networking and small group discussions on topics of the day. This year, the formula will be the same even though the topics may change. It's a wonderful event, hosted by Aphasia Access, the National Aphasia Association, and other community leaders.

Just Added - Directors Luncheon on Friday
(12:30-2 in the Convention Center - Seating is Limited)

Building on the success of last year, Aphasia Access will once again hold a special gathering for Aphasia Program Directors (both stand-alone and part of other universities/initiatives). This informal luncheon is a chance to connect in similar situations and talk through shared challenges and ideas that could benefit the collective.

Joining us for this special lunch to add her thoughts and perspective will be Linda Worrall. With attendance capped at 23, this will be the type of master class that you certainly don't want to miss.

Details, including cost, for this event, are being finalized - please email [email protected] to learn more and make sure your name is on the list for the event.

Aphasia Access Booth on the Convention Floor

Aphasia Access will be on the exhibit hall floor throughout the duration of the convention. Stop by and say hello, hear the latest Aphasia Access news and get some cool giveaways. While you're at it, you can say hi to the good folks at ANCDS (they're the booth next door).
