AphasiaAccess Leadership Summit Proposal Guidelines (Due Oct. 1)


The AphasiaAccess Leadership Summit gathers professionals in the trenches of helping people with aphasia navigate life. Attendees are people who are charged with making environments more communication accessible, running hospital-, community- and university-based programs for people with aphasia, creating innovative products, teaching the next generation, and/or working on research. Presentations should illustrate sound ideas, implementation and impact according to the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia.

Please Note: You are able to save your proposal while
in process for later submission. This is a 3rd party site
requiring a separate registration from the
AphasiaAccess website.

We invite your proposals for one or more of the following sharing formats designed to offer inspiration, peer learning, in-depth exploration, and networking.

  • Share and Care: brief talks that explore a single idea with practical tips and resources in just 6 min.

  • Posters: presentations that guide viewers visually through key elements of research or programming, with opportunity for one-on-one interactions.

  • Round Table: in-depth learning in small groups, featuring a presentation followed by guided discussion

Proposal submissions should contain the following:
(note: the online submission tool will guide you through each element)

  • Title
  • Complete Names of Author(s)
  • Affiliations of authors
  • Emails of all authors
  • Contact information for primary author
  • Preferred format choice: Poster / Share & Care / Roundtable

Poster

  • Purpose, methods, observations / results, and conclusions
  • Essential elements of LPAA programming

Care & Share

  • The rationale, content, and applications of the idea or resource

Roundtable

  • Summary of the background project, literature, or experience and goals for the facilitated discussion.
